Getting to Know Us!

Last November, we did a post about things we are grateful for.  Well, tonight, it's time to learn a little bit more about each of us (and we've let our sister, Flor, participate this time)! 

I'm Bo and I'm 7 years old.  My birthday is in April.  Being Mommy's first pup, I had a few years alone with her and at the end of the day, I am a TOTAL Mommy's boy (and her favorite)!  I LOVE playing fetch (I always bring the toy back, although I may not drop it), I've never met a stranger, giving kisses is a must, playing in water is amazing and I always follow Mommy around.  Mommy dresses me up a lot and wearing shirts may not be my favorite thing but I don't feel right without a bandana on. I've also got three pups that stayed in the family! I may not like car rides, belly rubs, or storms, but I will always LOVE you!

I'm Rex.  My birthday is in November and I'm 6 years old.  I am Mommy's protector but give me a few minutes and I'll love you too.  Or maybe just like you.  Mommy's got tons of nicknames for me and I am known as Sexy Rexi by some people.  I'm a cancer survivor and Grandma's favorite.  I LOVE eating poop (I know you think this is gross but I consider it a delicacy), belly rubs, romping around in the grass, chewing on antlers, sitting in Mommy's lap during car rides, and my brother and sister.  I may not be able to be alone, don't really like playing fetch and would rather be carried than walk anywhere, but give me a few minutes and I'll make you fall in love with me too!

I'm Flor, my birthday is in July and I'm three years old!  I was not always in the family with the boys, but am so glad I'm a part of the fam now!  I miss my old Mommy a lot but LOVE having two brothers!  I also LOVE giving kisses (watch out or I'll get the roof of your mouth), meeting new people, looking out the window on car rides, chasing my brother Rex, and playing with rabbits!  I don't really like belly rubs, would rather be outside no matter the weather, and whine when I don't get my way, but I guarantee you'll LOVE being around me with my wild attitude and love of life!

Happy Father's Day to Bo

If you remember back to Mother's Day and the post then, Bo talked about his Baby Momma, Tiny.  Well since today is Father's Day, I figured I'd take a second and give a shout out to my brother, Bo, one of the best father's around!

Bo is definitely a caring, loving, wild Dad and always has fun with his kids when he gets to see them (which is pretty often)!  It's fun to be around the whole family for the most part, except I'm the only non-Yorkie!  Or at least I was until our sister Flor came along!  Here's some pictures of the handsome father, Bo, my brother, to leave you with!

It's a busy life, but someone's gotta do it...

It's been a busy week for me.  Last weekend we all got to hang out with Baby Gwynevere.  Gosh, she tastes so good; I just love licking her!  It's especially great when she sticks her hand out and it's covered in slobber.  YUM!  Here's a pick of each of us with her.

This past Wednesday I got to go to Dogtopia.  My brother, Rex, and sister, Flor, didn't come so it was just me! It was water day so I got to go outside and play in the water and it was one of the best days of my life!!!

Then the other night I went outside and guess what I found?!?!  A TURTLE!!!  I wanted to play sooo bad with her but she just wouldn't.  I was a little sad...

Today was the absolute best though.  I got to go to the Waco Farmer's Market and for a walk along the Brazos River at Cameron Park!!  Here's a pic of me on my way...

I had so much fun with my Mommy!  She shared her breakfast burrito with me, I got lots of love from a bunch of kids, and on the walk - ohmygosh!  There were ducks everywhere - even baby ones!  They didn't really wanna play with me but it was still fun running after them!  I can't wait to go back.  But for now, it's nap time - I'm exhausted!

Happy Mother's Day

It's with pleasure that I say Happy Mother's Day to the cutest dog I know, Tiny!  Thank you so much Tiny, for making me a doggie-dad to three beautiful pups.  And you just get cuter with time!

The Last Few Weeks

have been a blur...

We've done so much and so much has happened and I know we've been MIA from here.  I hope you all weren't too worried.

First off, our Mommy was off work for a whole week!  It was so nice to have her home to sleep in with us and play with us.  Except right after her vacay started.  That Sunday we went to our grandparents house!  Not only did we get to see them, we got to see my babies momma, Tiny, and my son, Buddy.  We had some great family time because we got to spend the whole rest of the week there!  Our Mommy left us for a bit, and we tried to go with her, but she was soon back a few days later.

When she got back, we all headed back to Waco.  We may have missed Dogtopia one time, but when we returned, we had a blast!

Anyhow, it has been a great last few weeks...obviously.

She's not my girlfriend...yet

Yesterday we had a playdate.  But it wasn't just any old playdate.  It was with a beauty.  A black, miniture poodle of a beauty.  Wow.

Anyhow, it's someone our Mommy works with and we were so excited to meet a new pup.  Her name is Flor, like "Flower" in Spanish!  And she's just as beautiful as any flower I've ever sniffed.

When Flor arrived at our house, we were enjoying Pizza with our Mommy so we weren't really that interested in some other random pup.  Boy were we surprised when we later decided to pay attention.  Flor is a little like both my brother, Rex, and myself.  All in one.  She loves to run around and play (although she's not so good at Fetch) but she also likes to cuddle and get belly rubs.  She's perfect. 

Anyhow, rumor is she might move in with us for an entire semester because her Mommy is moving to Houston for an internship!  How wonderful would that be???!!!

Life's Not Always Fair...

Today is Wednesday.  It's a 'Daycare at Dogtopia' day right???

Wrong!

We still have to "give Bo some time to rest..."  And if Bo doesn't go to daycare, I don't go to daycare.

This morning I was all ready to go- well rested, full stomach, etc. and BAM!  Our Mommy calls out the "Let's go to your room" call!  What?!?!?! 

I quickly realized it was all about Bo again.  And daycare was going to have to wait.

But ya know what?  I finally decided it was ok to skip daycare one more time, because I'd rather have my brother, Bo, than not have him at all.

Ouchie!

I'm all healed up, finally! It has been a treacherous last few days but it's all over.

Here's a little back story:

Saturday morning we all woke up (my brother Rex, my Mommy, and me) and everything was fine. We got our chores done (ok, fine, Mommy got her chores done), ate breakfast, went outside, and then to the couch for some TV time.

A little later Mommy got up to get ready to leave. I stood up and OH MY GOSH! MY KNEE! I couldn't walk. Mommy noticed something was wrong and came over, picked me up and to the bathroom we go. I'm pretty sure she did not know what was wrong with me yet...

Then, it's outside we go and I CAN'T WALK! The only way I can walk is to hike up my back right leg. Mommy then definitely notices something major is wrong!

Long story short, I go to the animal emergency place in Waco, then a vet in Spring, TX THEN an animal hospital in Houston for...surgery. The pin in my right knee had come loose, not only moving my patella with it but taking some skin too - that might have been the worst part...not only could I not walk because my knee hurt, but there was some skin pinned under the knee-pin. OUCH!

Anyhow, I'm home now, just got my meds (and I can't complain about that!) so it's off to bed!

It's about Bo again.  Of course.  Always.

But seriously, Bo needs all your positive thoughts sent his way.  We woke up and I kinda thought something was wrong with him but didn't pay that much attention.  Later, as we were about to leave for our babysitting Caleb job, Mommy realized something was wrong too. 

Bo couldn't walk on one of his legs.  It was all hiked-up flamingo style.  And then all of a sudden, life became a rush and out the door they went...

About an hour later they came back and I realized where they had been...you can't mistake the smell of a...doctor's office.  Ugh!  Anyhow, they were home and Bo was still alive.  Bo did look really calm...like 'I just got some good meds' calm.  I heard Mommy talking on the phone about the pins in Bo's knees and how one of them dislocated/moved or something.  OUCH!

Bo's probably going to have to have surgery but we'll know for sure tomorrow.  He's got a doctor's appointment at 9am, on Sunday, yes.

When this is all over, I better get some of my very own, special attention!!

The language of Germany.  Wow.  It's tuff (haha, like ruff!).  But, I'm giving it a go and putting my best paw forward to learn how to speak the language.  Let me share what I've learned so far...

What do you think?  Pretty good huh?  I'm still working on my pronunciation, seeing as though it's a little harder when you have a "woof"/"bark"/"ruff" to go with everything, but I'm sure I'll get there soon enough. 

I bet you're all wondering why I'm doing this...because I'm trying to be as marketable as my brother!  I mean, come on, he knows Spanish (being a Chihuahua and all) and that makes him super marketable.  But I've got tricks - so I guess we're even?!?!

Anyhow, time to get back to my German lessons!

my name is Bo!

Finally my brother stepped out from the spotlight.  He can be that way sometimes - you know, needy, attention-seeking, etc.  I'm not like that all though. 

Let's start with a little of my past.  I'm the oldest here, by like almost 2 years.  I've been around since the beginning.  I was around during the college years, I was there everyday waiting on Mommy to get home everyday from her internship, and there up all night when she would study (ha - study, who am I kidding!).  So, of course, I have a close relationship with my mommy.  Rex and I always argue over who is the favorite child but we all know it's me.  There's really no arguing over this. 

On top of being the favorite child, I have children of my own.  Surprise, surprise!  My mommy set me up on a blind date about 4 years ago and a few months after that special night the kids arrived.  Three of them!  I don't get to see my kids too often because they all got adopted out but when I do, we have fun! 

With my mommy hanging around this new human baby lately, it's got me thinking about having more kids.  But, NO!  I don't think I can handle all that comes with being a daddy again. It's tough work.  I all the crying...cooing...feedings...wow.  So, I've been having talks with the human baby on the sly lately and we're in the works together to make sure Mommy has a not-so-good experience with him from now on.  Like Rex mentioned the other day, the baby barfed all over our mommy.  Talk about hilarious-ness!  Hopefully next time she hangs out with the baby he'll pull out the big stops and, dare I say it, poop on her - although we should make sure Rex isn't around for that!
