Thank Goodness for Pain Meds!

This last week has been a roller-coaster!  Things have been crazy for all of us, especially Rex.  Last weekend, Rex and Mommy were sitting on the couch and when Mommy and Rex got up, Rex yelped!  It scared all of us.  From then on, Rex couldn't use his back right leg - at all!  It was obvious something was very wrong. 

Monday morning Mommy got up early and called the vet doctor in Houston and got Rex the earliest available appointment - Thursday morning.  But we were in Waco!  I was really confused until Tuesday when Mommy came by the house and picked up Rex AND Flor and they didn't come back later...I was worried but I finally figured out that they were in Houston!  And how sweet of Mommy to send Flor along!  Her and Rex are very close so I'm sure Rex enjoyed the company but more than anything, I enjoyed my special time with just my Mommy and me!

I heard Mommy tell someone that Rex was having surgery Friday and we would get him back on Saturday.  I was very worried about him but he did so great!  It was wonderful to have him back around on Saturday.

During all this, Flor had a great time swimming at her Aunt's house!  And so did I when I got there this weekend!  It was so amazing!!!

Here's a few pictures of Rex too.  You can see the pins and plates in his leg in the x-ray!  Hard to believe he tore both his ACL and Meniscus.  And the square on his back/butt!  Ha!  Crazy surgeons!!

For now, it's lots of rest for Rex so things are a little boring around here for Flor and I but I'm so happy to have Rex back!

Happy Father's Day to Bo

If you remember back to Mother's Day and the post then, Bo talked about his Baby Momma, Tiny.  Well since today is Father's Day, I figured I'd take a second and give a shout out to my brother, Bo, one of the best father's around!

Bo is definitely a caring, loving, wild Dad and always has fun with his kids when he gets to see them (which is pretty often)!  It's fun to be around the whole family for the most part, except I'm the only non-Yorkie!  Or at least I was until our sister Flor came along!  Here's some pictures of the handsome father, Bo, my brother, to leave you with!

It's a busy life, but someone's gotta do it...

It's been a busy week for me.  Last weekend we all got to hang out with Baby Gwynevere.  Gosh, she tastes so good; I just love licking her!  It's especially great when she sticks her hand out and it's covered in slobber.  YUM!  Here's a pick of each of us with her.

This past Wednesday I got to go to Dogtopia.  My brother, Rex, and sister, Flor, didn't come so it was just me! It was water day so I got to go outside and play in the water and it was one of the best days of my life!!!

Then the other night I went outside and guess what I found?!?!  A TURTLE!!!  I wanted to play sooo bad with her but she just wouldn't.  I was a little sad...

Today was the absolute best though.  I got to go to the Waco Farmer's Market and for a walk along the Brazos River at Cameron Park!!  Here's a pic of me on my way...

I had so much fun with my Mommy!  She shared her breakfast burrito with me, I got lots of love from a bunch of kids, and on the walk - ohmygosh!  There were ducks everywhere - even baby ones!  They didn't really wanna play with me but it was still fun running after them!  I can't wait to go back.  But for now, it's nap time - I'm exhausted!

Doggy Heaven

Sorry for not posting this past week...life has been hectic.  First, our sister, Flor, got a haircut.  Big time.  Real short.  At first I wasn't too sure if I liked it and was a little stand-off-ish to her but it's grown on me!  She is still just as beautiful as ever!  Her long legs, her dark eyes, her sweet paws...I could go on. And she also got to spend the day at daycare with us!  It was fantastic.  She loved it. I think she had the most fun playing with the toys.  I caught her checking out the other boy dogs though...not good!

Anyhow, our Mommy got us a subscription to BarkBox and we just got our first box in the mail last week.  Let me tell ya - it's like heaven in a box.  It was filled with tons of different treats, chew sticks and a fun little toy!  My favorite treats are the barbeque ones - de-lish! I can't wait to see what next month's box is filled with!

Ok well it's off to bed for us.

Guest Post from Mommy!!

Yes, this is Bo and Rex's Mommy here!  I thought I would give you all an update on my boys, mainly Rex.  We went to the vet this past week for a check up.  They did blood work, got a stool sample, checked his ears, the whole 9-yards.  Both Bo and Rex were subjected to this.  What a mean Mommy I am huh?!?!

Anyhow, later on that day, I got a call from the vet with results from one of the blood test and unfortunately, Rex's liver "levels" are rising again.  At this point, they're still within normal range, but they are rising nonetheless.  Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.  I certainly don't want him to have to go through all the cancer stuff again (needle pricks, ultrasounds, surgery, etc) and I'm sure he would rather not as well! 

And don't worry - the boys will be back to blogging later this week!

Happy Mother's Day

It's with pleasure that I say Happy Mother's Day to the cutest dog I know, Tiny!  Thank you so much Tiny, for making me a doggie-dad to three beautiful pups.  And you just get cuter with time!

It was love at first sight for the two of us!

please forgive us!!

OMG, it has been way too long.  SOOOO much has happened in our fabulous lives since you last heard from us.  But, we promise (or at least I do) that we are back to stay this time...don't tell our Mommy that we're telling you this but she taught a class at Baylor this past semester and was super busy, and she used that as her excuse to blow off this blog of ours - we were not so happy about that but at least we're back now!

So, here's a few pics from the last few months of our lives:

Meet FLOR!  She's our poodle girlfriend and we LOVE her!  She's been staying with us since January since her human mom moved for an internship but we are secretly hoping we get to keep her fur-ever!

Don't be shocked, I'm fine now - promise!  But I did have to have major surgery...it was really scary but my Mommy and Flor and especially Bo took really good care of me.  The doctors said I had liver cancer but they think they got it all - we'll know for sure in August when we go back for another ultrasound.  For now, I'm doing great, and you wouldn't even know something was wrong if I didn't have a huge scar down my belly!

 

 

That's it for now.  The goal is to post at least once per week, which is doable, as long as Mommy let's me get on the computer...
